Vail started as a stop on the railroad and has grown quickly into neighborhoods like Rancho del Lago, newer subdivisions, and wide-open lots out toward Colossal Cave. Wherever you are in Vail, we come to you, so your pet can say goodbye at home instead of at the end of a long drive into town.
$405: At-home euthanasia
$555: At-home euthanasia with communal cremation, ashes not returned
$690: At-home euthanasia with individual cremation, ashes returned to you
That is the whole price. There is no travel fee, and nothing extra for evenings, weekends, holidays, or a bigger dog.
Some providers start with a base fee and add to it by weight, distance, or time of day. We'd rather you know the whole cost before you call. What you see above is what you pay.
REQUEST A VISIT CALL OR TEXT 520-600-0339
Call or text any day between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. We'll find the soonest time that works, and we try hard to come the same day when that's what you need.
Rather than an exact minute, we give a two-hour window, one hour before and one hour after your appointment time, so the visit never starts rushed. Talking to us costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Vail stretches from Rancho del Lago and the Mary Ann Cleveland Way corridor out to rural lots off Colossal Cave Road and toward Mescal, and some of those roads are unpaved or unlit. After a monsoon storm, a few washes can run across the road for a while; if that affects your visit, we'll call and adjust your window. Tell us about gates and landmarks when you book, or send a dropped pin.
We come to homes throughout Vail, including Rancho del Lago, the neighborhoods along Mary Ann Cleveland Way, Old Vail, and the ranch properties off Colossal Cave Road. That's a sample, not a boundary. Call or text 520-600-0339 to check your address.
Your visit is led by a veterinarian whose work is end-of-life care at home. They know how hard this day is, and they won't hurry you.
Before anything happens, they'll explain every step, and you can ask anything at all.
The visit starts with a conversation, not a procedure. The veterinarian will want to hear about your pet and will walk you through each step in order. Your pet can rest wherever they're most at ease: in your arms, on their own bed, or out on the patio.
First comes a sedative with strong pain relief. Within five to fifteen minutes your pet is deeply asleep and comfortable. The final injection is given only when you tell us you're ready, and the passing is peaceful.
Before we leave, we make a clay pawprint and clip a lock of fur as keepsakes, and you'll have time alone with your pet.
When the visit is over, we take your pet into our care and arrange the cremation ourselves, so you have nothing else to organize. If you choose individual cremation, your pet's ashes are returned to you, and we'll let you know as soon as they're ready. If you choose communal cremation, your pet is cremated with other pets and the ashes are not returned.
If you're reading this because your pet has already died at home, we can still come. Body care means we travel to your home in Vail, take your pet into our care gently, and handle everything that follows, at $455 with communal cremation or $590 if you'd like the ashes back. Call or text 520-600-0339.
We do our best to come the same day or the next. Calling earlier in the day helps us plan the drive.
Yes. Give us directions, any gate codes, and what to look for, or send a pin from your phone. We'll call if we need help on the way in.
No. The price is $405 anywhere in our service area, with nothing added for the drive, evenings, weekends, holidays, or larger pets.
