Out on the northeast side, Tanque Verde still feels like the edge of the desert, with horse properties, big lots, and the Catalinas and Rincons close at hand. Pets here often have room to roam their whole lives. We come out to you so they can spend their last hour on home ground.
$405: At-home euthanasia
$555: At-home euthanasia with communal cremation, ashes not returned
$690: At-home euthanasia with individual cremation, ashes returned to you
One flat price, whatever the day, the hour, or the size of your pet. No mileage, no surcharges.
Many providers price by weight and add fees for the drive out and for evenings and weekends, so the number you're quoted is rarely the number you pay. We don't work that way. The price above is the price on your invoice.
REQUEST A VISIT CALL OR TEXT 520-600-0339
Call or text any day between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. We'll find the soonest time that works, and we try hard to come the same day when that's what you need.
Rather than an exact minute, we give a two-hour window, one hour before and one hour after your appointment time, so the visit never starts rushed. Talking to us costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Tanque Verde Road is the main way in, and many homes sit on large lots off unpaved roads or behind ranch gates. After heavy monsoon rain, some wash crossings on the east side can close for a few hours; if that affects your visit, we'll tell you right away and adjust your window. When you book, let us know about gates, animals loose on the property, and anything that helps us find the house.
We come to homes throughout Tanque Verde, including the Tanque Verde Valley, the area around Sabino Canyon, Agua Caliente, Bear Canyon, and the properties out along Houghton and Tanque Verde Roads. That's a sample, not a limit. Call or text 520-600-0339 to check your address.
Your visit is led by a veterinarian whose work is end-of-life care at home. They know how hard this day is, and they won't hurry you.
Before anything happens, they'll explain every step, and you can ask anything at all.
We sit down with you first. We'll ask about your pet, explain what is about to happen, and answer anything you want to ask. You choose where your pet rests: their bed, your lap, the porch, a shady spot outside.
When you're ready, your pet receives a sedative that includes strong pain medication. Over five to fifteen minutes they relax completely and fall deeply asleep. Only when you say so does the veterinarian give the final injection. It is quiet, and it is quick.
Afterward we make a clay pawprint and clip a lock of fur for you to keep, and we give you time alone.
When the visit is over, we take your pet into our care and arrange the cremation ourselves, so you have nothing else to organize. If you choose individual cremation, your pet's ashes are returned to you, and we'll let you know as soon as they're ready. If you choose communal cremation, your pet is cremated with other pets and the ashes are not returned.
If your pet has already died at home, please call or text 520-600-0339. We can come to your home in Tanque Verde, gently take your pet into our care, and arrange the cremation: $455 for communal cremation, or $590 if you'd like your pet's ashes returned.
We aim for the same day or the next. Because it's a longer drive for us, calling earlier in the day helps.
Just tell us what to expect when we pull in and whether any gates need to stay closed behind us. Your other pets are welcome to be part of the goodbye if you'd like.
No. The price is $405 anywhere in our service area, with nothing added for distance, evenings, weekends, holidays, or a larger pet.
