Drexel Heights sits on Tucson's southwest side, with the Tucson Mountains to the west and neighborhoods full of families, dogs and backyard cats. When it's time, we come to you, so your pet can say goodbye at home with everyone around, without a stressful trip across town.
$405: At-home euthanasia
$555: At-home euthanasia with communal cremation, ashes not returned
$690: At-home euthanasia with individual cremation, ashes returned to you
That is the whole price. There is no travel fee, and nothing extra for evenings, weekends, holidays, or a bigger dog.
Some providers start with a base fee and add to it by weight, distance, or time of day. We'd rather you know the whole cost before you call. What you see above is what you pay.
REQUEST A VISIT CALL OR TEXT 520-600-0339
Call or text any day between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. We'll find the soonest time that works, and we try hard to come the same day when that's what you need.
Rather than an exact minute, we give a two-hour window, one hour before and one hour after your appointment time, so the visit never starts rushed. Talking to us costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Drexel Heights runs along Valencia Road, Ajo Way, Drexel Road and Mission Road, and it's a straightforward drive for us. Some streets on the western edge are unpaved, and house numbers can be hard to spot after dark, so tell us what to look for or send a dropped pin when you book.
We come to homes throughout Drexel Heights, including the neighborhoods along Valencia Road and Ajo Way, the streets off Drexel and Mission Roads, and the area around Cardinal Avenue. The list is only a sample. Call or text 520-600-0339 and we'll tell you straight away whether we can reach you.
Your visit is led by a veterinarian whose work is end-of-life care at home. They know how hard this day is, and they won't hurry you.
Before anything happens, they'll explain every step, and you can ask anything at all.
Nothing happens until you're ready. We start by sitting with you, learning a little about your pet, and answering every question, including the ones that feel hard to ask. Your pet stays wherever they're comfortable.
A sedative with strong pain medication comes first, and over the next five to fifteen minutes your pet drifts into a deep sleep. When you give the word, and not before, the veterinarian gives the final injection. It is gentle and quick.
You'll keep a clay pawprint and a lock of fur, and we'll give you all the time you need alone together.
When the visit is over, we take your pet into our care and arrange the cremation ourselves, so you have nothing else to organize. If you choose individual cremation, your pet's ashes are returned to you, and we'll let you know as soon as they're ready. If you choose communal cremation, your pet is cremated with other pets and the ashes are not returned.
If your pet has already died at home, please call or text 520-600-0339. We can come to your home in Drexel Heights, gently take your pet into our care, and arrange the cremation: $455 for communal cremation, or $590 if you'd like your pet's ashes returned.
We do our best to come the same day or the next. An early call gives us the most room to come when you'd like.
Yes. Family of any age is welcome, and you know your children best. Some families have older children say goodbye and then step out; others stay together the whole time. Both are fine.
No. The price is $405 whether your pet is a cat or a great big dog, any day of the week, with no travel fee.
